Let’s Talk about Jeggings

Who would have thought about combining the concept of leggings and jeans together to create a fashion hybrid called jeggings? Jeggings are one of the latest fashion trends and so many girls and women are taking advantage of this hot new trend. Celebrities are even strutting around in their fresh new jeggings. If you’re thinking about jeggings, you may be wondering what looks good with them and what looks bad with them. After all, no one wants to be a total fashion disaster.

Jeggings come in numerous shades and can be worn both day and night. Grays and charcoals have been popular and can provide that urban chic look. Dark indigo jeggings are classic. Light jeggings can provide a nice daytime look. Jeggings look great in heels and boots. Depending on your leg shape, flats may make your jeggings look unflattering. By wearing heels or boots, your legs can benefit from the illusion of length. Therefore, you achieve instant longer legs.

A disadvantage for jeggings is that they can be awfully tight and cut off circulation. The stretchiness of your jeggings is ultimately up to you. Unlike other forms of stretchable leggings, jeggings are more constricted. However, many jeggings are made from the stretchiest denim material out there. It’s important to find jeggings that you feel comfortable in. The fit must be both flattering and comfortable.

Jeggings look great because they’re the stretchy alternative to skin tight jeans with no stretch. They can stretch to hug every curve perfectly. When you’re wearing jeggings and you’re experiencing what many stylists call a “muffin top,” be sure to cover it up with an appropriate top. You may want to go with a loose tunic or a non-form fitting sweater. That’s another risk involved if you choose to wear jeggings.

Otherwise, jeggings are fresh, fun and stylish.
